What will you do?
As Legal Counsel, you will work closely with our Legal Manager based in Belgium to support the Protime business across a broad spectrum of legal matters. You will report directly to the Legal Manager of Protime.
Our legal team delivers proactive, pragmatic legal support and advice to the Protime Group, with a strong focus on commercial law, contract law, and IT law. You will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to help drive strategic projects across the group, giving you the opportunity to make a tangible impact on our growing business.
This is what you see yourself doing?
As Legal Counsel, you will work closely with our Legal Manager based in Belgium to support the Protime business across a broad spectrum of legal matters. You will report directly to the Legal Manager of Protime.
Our legal team delivers proactive, pragmatic legal support and advice to the Protime Group, with a strong focus on commercial law, contract law, and IT law. You will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to help drive strategic projects across the group, giving you the opportunity to make a tangible impact on our growing business.
You will be part of a dynamic and close-knit legal team providing legal guidance across all European countries where Protime operates.
As Legal Counsel, you will:
- Advise internal stakeholders in Belgium, France, the Netherlands, and Spain on a wide range of legal matters, including risk assessments, ad-hoc queries, and strategic project support.
- Negotiate, draft, and review various commercial agreements, such as customer contracts, supplier agreements, and general terms and conditions.
- Deliver accurate, proactive, and pragmatic legal advice in a timely and efficient manner.
- Provide legal support in the management of claims and litigation, working closely with external experts and legal counsel.
- Offer guidance on GDPR-related matters, including data protection agreements and compliance questions.
- Develop and maintain legal templates and best practices aligned with corporate standards.
- Monitor and assess local legislative developments that may impact our operations in the respective countries.
- Support the implementation and communication of legal policies, templates, guidelines, and processes, including delivering training to internal teams.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the legal department’s operations and effectiveness.
This is you?
- You hold a Master’s degree in Belgian law. Knowledge of other jurisdictions is a plus, but not required.
- You bring experience as an attorney or in-house legal counsel, with a focus on commercial law, contract law, and/or IT law.
- You have strong communication skills in Dutch, French, and English, both written and spoken.
- You combine a business-oriented mindset with the ability to translate legal complexity into clear, practical advice for non-legal stakeholders.
- You possess excellent organizational skills, allowing you to manage and prioritize multiple projects effectively.
- You demonstrate strong analytical thinking, negotiation abilities, and contract drafting expertise.
- You take a proactive approach to problem-solving, with a hands-on, can-do mentality and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- You are a team player who can also work autonomously and take ownership of your responsibilities.
- You show a high level of integrity, professionalism, and intellectual curiosity, with a genuine eagerness to learn and grow.
